We’ve come a long way from the days when building a brand and establishing yourself as an expert could be achieved simply by opening an office on Main Street and hanging out a shingle advertising your services. In a crowded, fragmented and cluttered – but also more connected – world, reaching your customers with quality content is the way to differentiate yourself.

Businesses and their leaders need a well-developed content strategy to provide relevant, consistent content in their area(s) of expertise to constantly remind their targeted consumers they are a go-to source for the product or service they need and to encourage them to take action, buying products and services.   2. Determine the topics you will cover as you build your company/personal brand. What do you want to be known for? What can bring you the most business? How will you make yourself a resource to your targeted clientele? What sets you apart from the competition?
  3. Decide if you will generate the content yourself or if you will hire a professional to create it for you. If committing to writing a weekly blog, creating graphics for social media or laying out an e-newsletter seems onerous, you can and should hire someone to help share your knowledge.
